Pre Employment Requirements |
|||||
| 1 | Must have high school diploma or equivalent | ||||
| 2 | Must have a valid Drivers License | ||||
| 3 | Must complete an application. Applications are available at the Central Fire Station located at 37 Wakefield Street. | ||||
| 4 | Must live within a 15 mile radius of central fire station | ||||
| 5 | Must pass an application review. Preference will be given to resident applications who are currently certified to the State of NH Firefighter Level 1 A&B |
||||
| 6 | Must be able to pass a background check. | ||||

Employment Requirements. |

| 1 | Must pay a yearly: $6 to the New Hampshire State Retirement System | ||||
| 2 | Must pay a yearly $15 to the NHSFA | ||||
Supplied Equipment |
|||||
| The Rochester Fire Department issues all protective clothing except boots. Each call force member is required to purchase their own NFPA approved boots. | |||||
|

|||||
Training Requirements |
|||||
Training classes are held once a month. Training scheduled is posted for the year on the fire department web page, and a copy is given to each employee. |

Call Force Pay |
|||||
| All Rochester Call Firefighters receive a yearly stipend for their services. This stipend is made in two payments one in June and the other in December. | |||||
